Dan Francis is 29 years old, he’s married with a 3-year-old son and they have another child on the way. He lives in South West London and he cycles to work (at a large pharmaceutical company) every day, weather permitting.

He’d never ridden up a mountain before, certainly never been away near the Alps on a bike. He enjoys cycling and keeping himself trim but he’s not a member of any cycling club. He prefers to do his own thing or get together with mates and ride as and when they feel like it. 

 How did we find him? We cast for amateur cyclists through a sports casting agency. We saw about 60 riders and selected about 12 to meet in person. Dan shone through and he didn’t let us down. A top job from the man - I hope you agree.
